Prototype 1

This was the first linear book scanner, developed by Dany Qumsiyeh as a 20% project at Google through 2012, with software and support from Jeff Breidenbach. It was made of aluminum and scanned at 11 seconds per page pair (about 30 minutes for a 300 page book).
